Acupuncture is a process. Most people feel relief from their symptoms right away. Some symptoms take more time to change. Most folks need a series of treatments to get good, long lasting results. At your first session, we’ll recommend a plan of treatment and discuss this with you to come up with something that works for your schedule and your budget.
Acupuncture works best for many conditions when you can have regular, frequent treatment. We offer both one-on-one and community acupuncture sessions, so that no matter what your budget or your schedule, you can receive high quality, personalized care. With these treatment options, you can come as often and for as long as you need in order to feel better.
One-on-One sessions vs. Community Acupuncture. One-on-one sessions allow for a longer acupuncture session and include the full range of techniques to be used in treatment – acupuncture, cupping, moxibustion, tuina na.
In Community Acupuncture sessions, you receive only acupuncture and no additional Chinese Medicine modalities. Treatments are shorter in duration then a one-on-one session.
Some patients use community acupuncture to supplement one-on-one sessions, or if something acute comes up that would benefit from more than one acupuncture session a week. Other patients predominantly do community acupuncture, with an occasional one-on-one session mixed in.
